Hailing from Canada, the deliciously indie/alternative rock band Metric consists of vocalist Emily Haines, guitarist James (Jimmy) Shaw, bassist Josh Winstead and drummer Joules Scott-Key. Since their first full length album, Old World Underground, Where are You Now?, in 2003, the band has been turning out single after single and have been featured in the CW’s “The Vampire Diaries”, ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and in this summer’s blockbuster, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”. With their latest album, Fantasies(2009), Metric won the 2010 Juno Awards for Group of the Year and Alternative Album of the Year. They have won countless other awards in their native Canada, and you can find them on the road this October with Muse.
