Shoe Queen-Laurie Friedman
This week’s Shoe Queen is Laurie Friedman an interior designer with her own design firm, aptly named Laurie Friedman Design. Laurie began her career as a painter represented at Philip Dash Gallery in NYC and has worked as a film and set designer for many film and television shows likes, Dead Man Walking, Before Night Falls, Sex and the City and Law and Order. In addition design work, Laurie is the founder of Art for Media, the premiere art sales and leasing company for film and print.
FG: Who is the designer of your shoes and where did you purchase your shoes?
LF: Aldo NYC
FG: Is there a story behind them?
LF: These shoes called out to me. I thought they were the most beautiful elegant simple stiletto- they are sleek, chic, and flattering to the leg, the unusual diagonal strap added drama to design and I fell in love with them.
