Eco Bold-Non-toxic Cookware: Why Are They So Important?

Eco Bold hosts, Steffany Boldrini, talks Non-Toxic Cookware

Description:

Non-toxic cookware is hard to find, but Xtrema makes it easy for you. It’s the only safe non-stick cookware available in the market as far as I know. It’s safe and healthy because all materials are inorganic natural minerals from the earth’s crust. It’s a company that I’ve been watching and looking forward to even before they had a pan out in the market. This cookware line cannot be scratched, it doesn’t peel, it’s healthy, and simply awesome. It’s made with ceramic and even the coating is made with 100% natural ceramic materials and it is environmentally safe. Another great fact is that the non-scratch ceramic cooking surface on the Xtrema cookware is non-reactive and 100% non-toxic. No odors or gases are ever released during the entire cooking process, even if the cooking temperatures exceed 2500 F. To clean, just do it like any other metal cookware with any kind of sponge you usually use, even the heavy duty ones!

Why is Teflon bad for you? Teflon non-stick pans are made with a chemical called polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), in between others, which is known to increase infertility and some scientists say it may be more harmful to the environment and human health than DDT, a pretty impressive record to break. It is said that when a Teflon pan reaches around 446F it starts to offgas toxic particules, at 680F it releases six different toxic gases, two of them are carcinogenic, another two are global pollutants and one is MFA which is a chemical that’s lethal to humans at low doses.

Xtrema cookware takes 18 days to make from beginning to end, another few great things about them is that the surface resists bacteria and it won’t stain. It’s the next generation of pots and pans that are not only safe for you, but also for our planet. They have all kinds of pots and pans from bakeware to cookware, teaware and even sets of 3, 6 and 16 pieces. I got a beautiful wok and have been loving it ever since! And let’s not forget that this is dishwasher safe, microwave safe, refrigerator, freezer and oven safe.

One beautiful thing the founder, Rich Bergstrom, says at their website and that EcoBold agrees 100% is this:
“I truly hope and pray that the effort that we put forth and their results will both honor and glorify God.”

Well said Rich, I’m sure you already have many blessings coming your way!

Hi There — I applaud the idea of creating a safer home, and because there’s so much misinformation out there about the Teflon® brand, I’m not surprised that you are concerned. I’m a representative of DuPont though, and hope you’ll let me share some information with you and your readers so that everyone can make truly informed decisions.

Regulatory agencies, consumer groups and health associations all have taken a close look at the Teflon® brand. This article highlights what they found — the bottom line is that you can use Teflon® non-stick without worry.

I’d truly be glad to share additional information about it if you are interested, and appreciate your consideration of this comment. Cheers, Sara.
