EcoBold-Tesla Roaster Test Drive

Check out this episode of EcoBold with host Steffany Boldrini, as she test drives Tesla Roadster!

More about the Tesla Roadster from EcoBold:

The Tesla Roadster test drive was one of the funnest reviews and interviews we’ve done before. One beautiful day we went for a drive on the much talked about, super fast electric sports car, the Tesla Roadster. We went to their showroom in Menlo Park, California and it was an amazing experience, to say the least. Tesla was founded in Silicon Valley in 2003 by a few Silicon Valley engineers passionate about electric vehicles technology. I talked and interviewed their PR person, Khobi Brooklyn, and she showed us the showroom, the assembly area, how the car is charged and she even talked about the electric battery that was developed by Nikola Tesla, a Serbian inventor, electrical engineer and mechanical engineer, over a century ago. The test drive was amazing, for a electric sports car that’s relatively new compared to other regular sports car, and for it to be able to beat all Ferrari’s but one in going from 0 to 60mph in 3.7 seconds, it’s just very impressive. The performance was great, you feel the kick and yet it makes no noise whatsoever. The maximum net power is 248 horsepower (hp) which is the equivalent of 185 kW and it goes for an average of 244 miles in one single charge. Today there are over 1,000 Roadsters in the roads of 25 different countries! Not to mention the attention you get by all eyes staring at you and the Roadster when you drive by them!

I just hope that car companies will make electric cars the standard fleet coming out of their factories. This is anĀ  The cost for the Tesla Roadster starts at $101,500. The Tesla Model S sedan is supposed to be available for purchasing in 2011 at a cost of $49,900.
