Cordie Moore is the CEO of Pink Stiletto Valet, an all women run valet agency where the staff is both lovely and professional as they sport their trademark pink stilettos. She shared what inspired her to create Pink Stiletto Valet and her plans for making her mark in the male-dominated valet industry.
What inspired the creation of Pink Stiletto Valet?
When real estate took a turn, I knew I had to do something different. I was sitting at the dinner table one night with my husband and told him that I wanted to do something fun, fashionable and unique. I wanted to have a business that would create a buzz and turn heads! Beautiful women and cars…what a great idea! My husband went to work for a valet service for 8 months to learn the details of the business and from there, Pink Stiletto Valet was born!
Besides the all female crew, how is Pink Stiletto Valet different from other valet services?
PSV not only has highly trained female drivers, but these divas can be seen on the runway, hosting events, print ads, commercials, etc. These ladies are very well versed in the fashion industry.
What is one piece of advice you would give to a woman interested in entering into a largely male dominated industry?
Totally DOMINATE!!! Men seem to think that women can’t handle high powered vehicles , but when you show them not only can we “drive,” but we can perform even better than the men, they are WOWED!!!
What is one challenge you’ve been able to overcome?
In the beginning, I was into everything with PSV…it was my baby! As we started to grow, I had to bring on staff members and truly allow them to operate and show their fabulosity in their positions. I couldn’t continue to be the ball hog, as they say! Thank God for my staff. I couldn’t have done it without them!
What are some words of wisdom you would share with other women entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs to be?
Women, live your dream! Have fun, be fearless and fabulous! There are so many opportunities for young ladies to become business owners. Take advantage of every opportunity you get, it might not come around again!
