Kimberly Pecoraro is a woman who has a genuine passion for the beauty business and she has worked in the industry for her entire career. Having met every professional goal she set for herself, she began 2006 with a new challenge — joining niche men’s grooming line a│MEN│ity as President. In this position she will make adjustments to the line, re-imagine the packaging, expand the staffing and create a new sales strategy. Her goal is to build the fledgling brand, founded in 2004, and transform it from a best-kept-secret to a contender in the men’s category.
FG: Who is the designer/What is the brand of the stiletto you submitted and where (i.e. Macy’s etc…) did you purchase your shoes?
KP: Christian Louboutin – Lady Peep Toe Slingback – Purchased at: Neiman Marcus
FG: Is there a story behind them (why did you purchase them)?
KP: At the last minute I decided to jump on a plane and join my domestic sales team for an
Amenity launch event at one of our new retailers. My team worked so hard and made the day such a success, I presented everyone with an individual American Express gift card as a personal thank you
for their dedication to me and our company. To my surprise, the next day a box arrived at my hotel
room. My team pulled together their gift cards and bought me the Christian Louboutins. Every time I
wear them I’m reminded; (1) I’m blessed. (2) I’m lucky. (3) My sales team deserves a raise!
They will always be my favorites.

FG: If we could walk a mile in your shoes ______________________
KP: You’d start your day in one of three places; the office, at local meetings (with Amenity’s
team of chemists in the lab, the product distribution center, etc.) or somewhere else in the USA
or around the globe meeting with Amenity’s partners. I spend my time working with all different
departments making the rounds starting with Accounting, working my way to Operations where we discuss new product development, packaging ideas and manufacturing scheduling, and then onto
meetings with Marketing on new creative, product launches, press initiatives and brand identity. I
usually like to end my office day with the Sales Team. This way I can share with each one of them
what is in store for Amenity and how they are to disseminate this information around the globe. In
between, I touch base with Amenity’s domestic and global partners, and do normal office things;
answer emails, send faxes, pack boxes and return phone calls. Then I wrap the day by meeting up with
my best friend and sister, Melissa, for either kickboxing or weight training. Finally I get to relax with
the people I admire the most, my family. Phew!
