FG: How would you describe your personal style?
Ann Tillage, Owner-Sharmooz
AT: I love minimalistic clothing with a splash of color. Especially clothes that accentuate a woman’s curves.
FG: Name 5 items every woman should have in her closet.
AT: Little Black dress, editorial pants, favorite white
top/t-shirt, maxi dress, and red pumps.
FG: Who is your fashion icon and why?
AT: Diane Von Furstenberg for remembering everyone woman needs a flattering dress to support her style – the iconic wrap dress
FG: What fashion trend is your least favorite?
AT: Extremely low rise pants/jeans. Muffin tops are not attractive whether you are a size 2 or 22.
FG: What the weirdest item in your wardrobe?
AT: I found an old pair of black knee high dress socks. I used to wear them during my black business suits and loafer days. I almost tossed them and thought, these would look cute paired with a black pumps and a shift dress. Always remember that some strange items can be recycled and worn again with a different twist.
FG: What is your style philosophy?
AT: Make sure it fits! Any style can look sloppy or distasteful if it is not fitted properly. Take your time to “try” on clothes before you make a purchase or find a seamstress to help tailor fit your clothes. I wear a different size for my top and bottom. Most of the dresses I wear or design must be contoured to my body type.
