FG: Who is the designer/What is the brand of the stiletto you submitted and where did you purchase your shoes?

SM: Christian Louboutin – Sexy Strass 100 Swarovski crystal peep-toe pumps

FG: Is there a story behind them (why did you purchase them)?

SM: I was in Paris for my 35th birthday and seeing as though this was important milestone in my life I wanted to reward myself with a fabulous pair of shoe’s. So I went to Christian Louboutin. Nothing really caught my eye and then I saw it–a flash of sparkle off to the corner. They were beautiful. I knew they weren’t practical, but I thought–what’s the harm? I will just “try them on.” I slipped the crystal encrusted 4″ stilettos; however, to my disappointment they were one size too large and try told me that my size was in the NYC store. The sales associate told me that these were “very special shoes–only 1 made in each size” and that the pair in NYC was being purchased by someone “very important.” Well, I thought–that’s a shame. Never did I expect these shoes to haunt me…but they did. Never did I expect to find them…but I did. Seven months later I found myself in NYC on a business trip and in need of a quick shoe fix. I popped into Louboutin, told the sales associate my story and, Voila! The shoes appeared. It was fate…I had to buy them.
