FG: How would you describe your personal style?

MC: Sexy yet classic with a touch of boho chic. I absolutely love bold, bright colors.

FG: Name 5 items every woman should have in her closet.

MC: A sexy dress – I know most people would say a sexy black dress but I want to break convention. Just find that sexy show stopping dress and often a color is just the thing to make it pop. Think reds and purples. A great shaper – no matter your shape or size, a great shaper will make any outfit look amazing. A pair of heels – You can be a 3 incher or a 5 incher, but a great pair of heels can take your look over the top. A crisp white shirt – it’s chic and timeless and can be dressed down with jeans or dressed up with a fitted black skirt and heels. A classic high-end coat – Coats are meant to last, not something you have to replace every season. Every woman should splurge on a classic, well made and well-tailored coat.

FG: Who is your fashion icon and why?

MC: Sophia Loren- I just love her classic, timeless style. Plus Sophia was a curvy woman, and she wore clothing to show that off. Plus we both like to wear lots of red!

FG: What fashion trend is your least favorite?

MC: I don’t like most trend dressing. I believe following trends just to follow them is boring. Seek out clothing that you love and makes you giddy inside, that’s your personal style and you will always be on trend.

FG: What the weirdest item in your wardrobe?

MC: That’s a hard one! I would say probably all the white pieces I have, dresses, jumpsuits, etc. You name I got it. I know it’s a misconception that curvy women shouldn’t wear white but I’m not conventional and I encourage my customers to have the same mind set. You can wear any color, any print as long as you know how to wear it correctly to compliment your shape.

FG: What is your style philosophy?

MC: As a plus size woman, I firmly believe that it doesn’t matter what your size is, your clothing should reflect your personality. Be bold, be colorful, be as glamorous as you want to be. Don’t hide your curves, accentuate them.
