Friday Girl TV is a web station that features web-based programming created by women for women. We feature episodic and short form programming from a variety of genres such as drama, comedy, reality, anime and animation.
It is our goal at FGTV to provide a platform for women creators of video content so they can share their work with a broader audience. With many people becoming more comfortable viewing programming online, we will become the portal that they can come to when seeking compelling content. The programming featured on FGTV speaks to the diverse audience of women and provides an opportunity for viewers to learn about programs they may not normally have discovered on their own.
Just like our in-house produced show, “Girl’s Guide to Chic”, the goal of FGTV the network is to increase your chic by introducing you to a fabulous slate of women content creators and their thoughtful, funny and often provocative work.
The name Friday Girl is a takeoff of the term, Girl Friday, which is a person who contributes to the fulfillment of a need or furtherance of an effort or purpose. It is our belief at Friday Girl TV that women have integral roles in society as wives, mothers, daughters, caretakers and entrepreneurs making meaningful contributions to their communities and society as whole.
Staying true to their mission of changing the way women are viewed in media, FGTV serves as a platform for women’s programming, hosting a compelling lineup of shows including Punanny Diaries, Granada Hills, Real Girl’s Guide to Everything and Girl’s Guide to Chic.
Today’s woman is a renaissance woman, who does it all. Our Friday Girl is a Girl Friday of all things interesting, fabulous and cosmopolitan!
