Pay it forward this month by donating to Project Medishare and help supply some much needed food, water, doctors and medical supplies to the people of Haiti.

Project Medishare for Haiti, Inc., a 501.3c non-profit registered in the State of Florida, was founded in 1994 by Drs. Barth Green and Arthur Fournier from the University of Miami School of Medicine.

It is an organization dedicated to sharing its human and technical resources with its Haitian partners in the quest to achieve quality health care and development services for all. This mission is accomplished through two distinct but complimentary programs which now frequently intersect, such as the Community Health Program and the Integrated Community Development Program.

Sunrise

Ingredients:
1 oz Van Gogh Coconut Vodka
1-1/2 oz Van Gogh Pineapple Vodka
2 oz Pineapple Juice
Splash of Grenadine

Directions:
Pour Van Gogh Coconut, Pineapple Vodka and pineapple juice into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and pour into martini glass. Add a splash of grenadine and garnish with pineapple wedge.

Cool Breeze

Ingredients:
2-1/2 oz Van Gogh Coconut Vodka
1/2 oz Orange Juice
1/2 oz Cranberry Juice

Directions:
Pour Van Gogh Coconut Vodka, orange juice and cranberry juice into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and pour into a chilled rocks glass. Garnish with an orange slice.

Friday Girl Producer, Ashia Sims and I stepped into this chic new hot spot for one of their frequent weekend wine tastings. To our delight, expert Patissier and Chocolatier, Jill Davis, was on site teaching us chocoholics chocolate lovers how to make our very own chocolate truffle! Wine and Chocolate…need I say more? Find yourself at The Mercantile for this weekend’s Chilean wine tasting and tell the owners, Janea Boyles and Chef Samantha Enzmann that Friday Girl sent ya!
