Evie Ryland, best known as the creator of Sun Gone Nova, her cartoon book originating from the Century City Newspaper comic strip is this week’s Shoe Queen! This prior gallery owner and curator lives in Los Angles which was a good segue to becoming a founding member of the Century City Chamber of Commerce Arts & Cultural Affairs Council. In addition to working on Volume II of Sun Gone Nova, Evie is also developing a fine art book and an a upcoming children’s book. FG: Who is the designer/What is the brand of the stiletto you submitted and where (i.e. Macy’s etc…) did you purchase your shoes?
ER:These are some of the best stilettos in my collection and they’re surprisingly affordable (under $40.) I bought this pair at AMIclubwear.com which is an amazing place to shop for shoes and clothing. They have an extensive collection of sexy heels but if you see something you like, you should grab it quick because it may not be there for long -I almost don’t want to advertise it(!) FG: Is there a story behind why you purchased them?
ER:I originally began searching AMIclubwear.com for some killer shoes to wear with my skinny jeans. The black heels with the silver embellishments were also a must have because they go with almost any outfit from corporate to clubwear and being able to walk comfortably in them was just the cherry on top.
