Five years ago, in a suburb forty-five minutes outside of Chicago, Kathryn Kerrigan and the Mayor of Libertyville cut the ribbon at the Grand Opening of Kathryn Kerrigan, Inc. Since 2005, Kathryn Kerrigan, Inc has developed an international fan-base dedicated to her European handcrafted shoes, and opened the door to three retail boutiques across North America. In those five years, the company has been recognized on national television shows including; The Tyra Banks Show, The Dr. Oz Show, and NBC’s The Today Show. Periodical acknowledgments encompass a multitude of American fashion magazines including, Lucky Magazine, WWDTuesday, and Redbook, as well as other sources such as TimeOut Chicago, Crain’s, and Inc Magazine. KK: I am the designer! My name is Kathryn Kerrigan, and I have been designing beautiful luxury shoes under my name and now brand, Kathryn Kerrigan Footwear. FG: Is there a story behind them (why did you purchase them)?

KK: The Gazelle stiletto is such a fabulous summer shoe. When I designed the shoe – I knew it would be a huge hit for the Spring/Summer 2010 Collection! It’s sexy, it’s fun, it’s empowering – what woman would not want to wear this! I started my line five years ago with a and a yearning to offer exquisite footwear to women of all shoe sizes. And so I did! Our shoes are all handcrafted in Europe and are available in US sizes 6-14.
