ModCloth is a great website for all the vintage and retro loving Fridaygirls. The website offers everything from record shaped pot holders to funky one of a kind dresses. If you love the higher end Anthropologie but can’t always afford their prices then ModCloth is the place for you.

The website began with two high school sweethearts Eric Koger and Susan Gregg Koger love for vintage and retro pieces.

The website features:
Apparel ( including swimwear)
Accessories
Apartment
Shoes
Vintage (authentic vintage pieces)

I personally loved the way women dressed between the 1920′s-1970′s. Their style was classic, chic, tailored, and sexy without being trampish. ModCloth offers a wide variety of vintage inspired dresses that will transport you back into time.

ModCloth also offers you the opportunity to Be the Buyer. Where you, the customer chooses which items get produced and sold on the site. This interactive buying expeirence is paired with social media to get the items you want enough votes to be sold on the ModCloth site.

ModCloth is a great site to get all your vintage needs for yourself and your home. They offer an excellent flat rate of $7 for all ground shipping orders, as well as free returns and quick exchanges.

I would suggest consulting their size guide as they take measurements of the clothing lying flat rather than on the body. This can cut down on the need to return or exchange items.

Happy Shopping!

My best friend, Slick & Rose singing partner and all around partner in crime, Nikki Slick signed us up for some cooking classes at Williams Sonoma so we could strengthen our diva skills and bonding rituals. We were both bummed at first, to find that this “class” was more like a “cooking demonstration” and less like a class because you actually watch while someone else does the cooking but the upside is you get to eat! So of course we stuck around because today’s fare was a Leek and Gruyere (its a type of cheese) Souffle and a Chocolate Souffle Cakes. We are vegetarians who love to eat so this was a treat! Jake, our class instructor, was so sweet and the food was DELICIOUS! Next time you’re in Lenox Mall or in your neck of the woods, check out Williams Sonoma, and find out what classes they offer because you really do learn a lot, the classes are FREE, the food is great and you get to eat! Need I say more?

Chocolate Truffles, The Mercantile

The Mercantile

French baguettes, homemade dinners, hearty winter soups and crisp floral wines that soothe your palette is what your subconscious is seeking when you accidentally “stumble” upon East Atlanta gourmet grocer, The Mercantile. Friday Girl Producer, Ashia Sims and I stepped into this chic new hot spot for one of their frequent weekend wine tastings. To our delight, expert Patissier and Chocolatier, Jill Davis, was on site teaching us chocoholics chocolate lovers how to make our very own chocolate truffle! Wine and Chocolate…need I say more? Find yourself at The Mercantile for this weekend’s Chilean wine tasting and tell the owners, Janea Boyles and Chef Samantha Enzmann that Friday Girl sent ya!

Check out pics below…
